Mumbai.......... cracking infrastructure! & politics.

I have recently shifted location from Kolkata to Mumbai..... but the apathy that i have seen around the country remains the same here as well...

i wonder if any of the so called "people's representatives" have taken a ride in the local trains in Mumbai during peak hours recently... i have and i can't understand how a city which is the financial and entertainment capital of the country can tolerate this complete lack of concern for the masses. It's almost impossible to get in those trains... one has to be careful not to leave an arm or a leg behind!!

This city has some of the richest people in the country..... pays the highest amount of taxes to the central exchequer... but has no visible gains in infrastructure development. The traffic situation is also worse than ever before.

What is the point of all this money if there is no improvement in the living conditions of the people???

And what are the people doing?? How and why are they tolerating this daylight robbery of their resources and tax-funds??

The answer lies in the politics of the state!!

The leaders only focus on how to get the power.... they have no idea what to do with it once they have it.... apart from digging up regional and religionists issues time and time again.....

The state has just voted.... i hope some sense prevails and some serious people come to the fore. It's a shame what people have to face daily just to be able to have 2-square meals a day.
